The Audi A4 is a mid-priced saloon car starting from £20,490 for the entry level 1.8 TFSI. The price rises to £37,290 for the 3.0 litre V6 S4. Proving more popular than its BMW and Mercedes rivals, perhaps because of what the manufacturer calls a sporty character, the audi A4 cars have improved engines and a sports chassis.

The Audi A4 3.2 FSI Quattro costs £29,680 on the road and will propel you to 60 mph in just 6.2 seconds. It has a maximum speed of 155mph and a combined fuel consumption of 30.7 mpg.
The range of diesel choices includes the 2.0 TDI with 120, 136, 143 or 170PS priced from £22,150 to £29,675. The 143PS will reach 60 mph in 9.4 seconds with a maximum speed of 130mph and with a combined fuel consumption of 55.4 mpg. Other diesel options are the 2.7 TDI and 3.0 TDI. The only automatic in this range is the 2.7 priced from £27,755 to £30,835.
For those who need more room the Audi A4 also comes as an estate in the Avant range priced from £23,300 to £33,600. All Audi A4 models come with extras including 80-watt CD audio system, electronic climate control, front and rear electric windows and 16-inch alloy wheels. This car might lack the excitement of a BMW but will still provide an extremely comfortable ride.
